The Flaws are a four-piece from Co Monaghan, Ireland. The band released their debut self financed EP in summer 2005, a total of 300 copies only. The 4 track EP won a host of admirers with instantly hummable tunes like 16, & Idolise alongside Everybody"s Got to be Somewhere and Fed to the Lions which show the great scope of the bands sound. National airplay quickly followed on Today FM with presenter Alison Curtis describing the lead track 16 as "brilliant, one of the best Irish tracks of 2005".
The Flaws will release the graceful "1981" on Friday July 27th The single taken from the forthcoming debut album was recorded at Grouse Lodge studios and mixed at Apollo in Dublin by acclaimed producer Gareth Mannix (Director/Republic Of Loose /Delorentos). It will be available to download from various digital music services worldwide including itunes and at record stores nationwide.
"1981" will hope to follow on the top 30 success of "Sixteen" which saw the band take to the road on the 2FM 2Moro 2our in May with Giveamanakick and Messiah J And The Expert. "Sixteen" was playlisted on 2FM, Phantom FM, Red Fm and many national stations and received rave reviews along the way.
The Flaws have been invited onto The Thrills Irish Tour as special guests. The tour which takes place between July 26th to Aug 4th will see the band play 5 shows with the Dublin outfit and then go on to play LeCheile 2007. They will also appear at the Meltfestival in Germany on July 14th.
The eagerly awaited debut album will be released on Friday the 14th of September.
