School Photography Competition
The theme of the photographic competition is "My Meath".
Entries may reflect any scene or activity on this broad theme.
Selected entries will be exhibited during the Le Chéile festival
weekend in Oldcastle, Co. Meath, on the 4th, 5th 6th August.

Competition Rules:

The competition is open to all students attending Primary and
Post-Primary Schools in Co. Meath.

There are two categories of competition:

Primary School
-
Post Primary School
-
Each entrant may submit ONE black and white or colour
photographs. Entries must be unmounted and unframed and no
bigger than 10 x 8 inches.

Photos must be clearly identified on the back with your name,
age, address, telephone number and e-mail address (if available)
and a title of the activity portrayed in the photo (approx 20
words). The photos and a copy of the signed entry form must be
sent in one packet clearly marked 'Photographic Competition'
to:

If there is too much information for the back of your photo,
please attach it, clearly marking the photo it is pertaining to.

Entries must have been taken within the last year and must not
have been previously published.

The organisers reserve the right to free reproduction and
exhibition of the prize winning and commended entries, with full
acknowledgement of the photographer. The winning photograph, and
a selection of commended entries will be exhibited at Le Cheile
2006.

A panel of judges will choose the winners. The organisers'
decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The main criteria for selection shall be the relevancy to the
theme, originality and photographic criteria (including artistic
merit and technical quality).

Winners will be notified on or before 28th July 2006.

Entries will NOT be returned unless accompanied with a SAE.
-
No responsibility will be taken by the competition organisers
for lost or damaged work.

The closing date for receipt of entries is Friday, 14th July 2006
at 5.00pm .

Entries without a signed entry form cannot be judged.

In submitting entries applicants are taken to undertake to abide
by the above rules.
