Venues 2017

Venues 2017

For the 2017 festival we will be returning to The Cinema Club Stage as our main venue. The stage is housed in the former Castle Cinema right in the center of Oldcastle and almost opposite our regular venue at Creans. With the building owners continuing to improve on facilities and decor the Cinema Club Stage gigs can only get better and better each year.

For the Le Cheile 20th year celebrations we'll also be building the 'Other' Street Stage in the Town Square from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th with a great line up of family entertainment and live music from approx 5pm to 10pm each night.

Other venues around town include The Masonic Hall where there will be Yoga, Dance and childrens events. Owen Traynors Bar for tradional Irish sessions and more to be announced. Farrellys Bar for live music. There's also a whole heap of arts activities for kids and adults at the Loughcrew Megaglithic Center including the Fairy Workshop, the Little Artists Studio, exhibitions and more.

More venue details will be posted here as they are confirmed... watch this space.

In addition to the Cinema Club Stage we will also be running our former main stage at Creans from Saturday 30th to Monday August 1st with live music from 5pm each evening. The save us all from a potential soaking we will be erecting the full Creans marquee to enclose and protect the entire area from the elements.

Entry to Creans stage is FREE on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st.

On Sunday 31st, while the Oldcastle GP cycle race is taking place all around the town, the Street Beats Stage will be blasting out live music from 2pm. The stage will be located between Gibneys and the former Naper Hotel (and as such is weather dependent).

There will be live music at The Fincourt on Saturday 30th from 10pm and on Sunday 31st from 4pm

And as ever, there will also be the usual random gigs popping up in the bars all over Oldcastle. Including Traynors, The Railway Bar and Farrellys on Church Street... have a wander around, you never know what you might find.
